RE:  Request for Proposal (RFP) for Professional Design Services: Owl kill Stream Restoration and Revitalization and Lumberyard Site Work, Cambridge New York:  Civil Engineering and/or Landscape Architectural Services 

Dear Firm:

The Cambridge Valley Community Development and Preservation Partnership Inc. (CVCDPP) is issuing the subject Request for Proposals (RFP) seeking to procure professional design services including Civil Engineering and/or Landscape Architectural services to prepare final site design plans, construction documents, and oversee construction related to the Owl Kill Stream Restoration and Revitalization and Lumberyard Site Work.

We write to invite your firm to submit a proposal.

Services are requested in particular aim to:

1. Improve and foster connections in the ‘Lumberyard’ between businesses and recreational offerings– installation of walkways and parking, with a public green space and trailhead.

  1. Naturalize a portion of the Owl Kill stream, and create a plan for better stream stewardship and future construction of a walking trail system along a .5 mile length of stream in the heart of the Village of Cambridge.

The RFP also includes an Addendum to:

  1. Prepare a feasibility analysis and conceptual design for the development of a decentralized wastewater treatment system.

Proposals are due at 5pm on Friday, April 4, 2025.  A site visit will take place at 11 am on Friday, March 14, 2025 (meet at 9 West Main Street Cambridge, NY).
